Have you every wondered what goes on inside the mind of a teenager?  What makes them say the things they say...do the things they do...act the way they act....???

Now, mind you...a lot of it is good...GREAT EVEN!!  I mean, there are teenagers out there who have hearts full of compassion that as adults we could only dream of having.  There are those who show the boldness and courage...that "NO FEAR" attitude that I have never had toward certain things in life.  There are even those who model the example of Jesus Christ better than I've seen people who've been Christians their entire lives...I have seen and gotten to work with many students who have shown me these God-given gifts and more.

However, with the good is also the bad...teenagers who are disrespectful constantly to anyone in authority.  Students who show a blatant disregard for anyone but themself.  So many teens don't care what happens to them, or how the consequences of their poor choices and actions affect the people that love and care about them...yeah I've seen and gotten to work with these as well...and sometimes they can be found in the same person.

So, I still wonder...what is running through these student's brains that can make them go from Jekyl to Hyde without any warning?  What makes teens tick?

I see the facebook posts; I hear the rumors, gossip, and chatter at different times each week; I talk to parents who don't know how to deal with things their child is doing/saying

But, despite any negativity that people might associate with today's Teenagers, the reason I love doing the work God has called me to do is that the POTENTIAL FOR GREATNESS IS ALWAYS THERE!!

THESE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE THE CHURCH OF TODAY...NOT JUST TOMORROW!!!

Give them (and their odd minds) a chance and I guarantee THEY WILL SURPRISE YOU!!!
